The national park at the island of Mljet is the perfect introduction to Croatia’s islands. There is a great anchorage at Polace on the island’s north coast and here you can step ashore to explore the island’s interior, which features unusual saltwater lakes. Mljet is also well known for its white and red wine production, olives and goat's cheese. Trogir is often the last port of call during a charter in Croatia and is a fitting end to an itinerary in the Adriatic. Moor alongside the Riva and wander along the palm-lined promenade that runs between the colourful buildings and the waterside before having a sundowner at one of the many cafés and restaurants at the waterfront.
